Developed the manual
then piloted the HIV Drug Resistance Database course and the database
Issue: Asian participants wanted to
use the new HIV Drug Resistance Database to keep track of drug resistance
among HIV patients to better plan drug procurement/treatment strategies.
Solution: Unfortunately, this project
was not as successful as many of the others. We developed a participant
manual but at the time of the pilot training, database programming
issues were unresolved. This led to problems in presentation. We
were able to demonstrate key functionality and provide the manual
that showed how the database “should” work.
The pilot was attended by Asia participants. At end of project,
the developers were discussing next steps on how best to complete
