Naval Electronic Systems Engineering Activity, St. Inigoes, MD

Issue: The Combat Identification Branch’s training budget had decreased; there was talk of moving the training elsewhere.
Solution: As a training/documentation consultant to the branch for four years:

  • prepared strategic training plans for two Navy systems
  • managed Navy advanced training course, represented the command at meetings and conferences, reviewed/approved course revisions from technical experts
  • designed computer-based troubleshooting exercises; conceived, designed and led development of technical videos on combat system operations and system maintenance
  • Led group providing interim training, video presentation and logistic support for advanced Navy radar system, meeting all acquisition deadlines
  • Was able to secure funding increased and permanent assignment of the training site.
